WHY ARE WE SURPRISED?

August 12th 2008 22:36
WE SET THE PRECEDENT!

The United States invaded Iraq with trumped up charges and lies of WMDs and has continued with spouting bullshit as to why we invaded and now Russia has has decided to do the same to Georgia. Why not? What is good enough for George Bush is good enough for Vladimir Putin.

Georgia President Mikheil Saakashvili's military excursion into South Ossetia was pure unadulterated Bush thinking stupidity, which gave the Russians the excuse to invade. The same as we used excuses to invade Iraq. Now the US is accusing the Russians of wanting "regime change" in Georgia, and what was it that we did in Iraq? REGIME

CHANGE.

Our current administration set the precedent of preemptive strikes against other countries for any reason they deem appropriate, usually based on false information a.k.a. LIES, but especially if oil or oil pipelines are involved. Well, it appears Vladimir Putin and Dimitri Medvedev have the same mind set as George W., We can do anything we want as long as we make up a good story to justify our attacks. This is simple George W. & Dickie Cheney reasoning. Let the leaders of all the other countries squawk all they want.....just like they did when the U.S attacked Iraq. And nothing happens. And nothing but a lot of shouting and threatening until Russia has completed their mission. At that point when they do decide they have accomplished their goals, we will see Bush & Company take credit for their great diplomatic intervention on behalf of Georgia. Our European allies will also jump in and take some credit as well.

The bottom line will be that Russia will have accomplished what they started out to do under the guise of protecting the ethnic Russians in South Ossetia and Abkhazia. When satisfied with their military mission, they will leave Russian Peacekeepers to protect the ethnic Russian population and Georgian President Saakashvili will call them occupying forces.

It all sounds much like Iraq. A large country with a strong military decides to fabricate a reason to invade another country for "Regime Change" and wants to leave some type of military force,"peacekeepers" sounds good, in the occupied country. This appears to be the wave of the future, especially when oil or oil pipelines are somehow involved.

We can thank President George W. Bush & Cronies for starting the trend of the future.
