WHO OWNS YOUR SENATOR?
I recently spoke to a friend of mine who I worked with on several campaigns in the past and is still a practicing political consultant, although he is contemplating leaving the arena of distortion and lies also known as SPIN.
Actually, we were discussing how nothing ever changes when it comes to the voting public. It still remains extremely easy to convince people that the Political Party that is responsible for the deep recession, high unemployment rate, high deficit and two wars stands a very good chance of being put back into power in November.
Convincing voters that the Republican Party will serve the needs of the average American has always been based on a foundation of LIES! They are the Party of Corporate America and have screwed over the American Public to the benefit of Corporate America. In fact, the Republican Party has even managed to sell the United States Supreme Court to Corporate America. If you have any doubts about that just look at the recent decision that establishes corporations as an entity with individual rights to buy an election. I've always wondered why a member of the Supreme Court does not have to even have the ethics of a member of congress. AND THAT'S NOT MUCH. THE MAJORITY FIVE ENJOY GREAT PERKS.......WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED!
My friend (who only works for Republicans) and I were joking that it is much easier these days to blatantly purchase the services of a Senator as your agreeable lackey as long as you have the cash in hand. An example would be Big Oil and the $35 Million donated to the Republican Party over the last 3 1/2 years. So you can imagine how much was donated during the Bush-Cheney Era.Can you name any participants of the Cheney Energy Policy Conference?
And what does $$$$ buy you? Your own little political prostitute that blocks making a large oil company....BP..... COMPLETELY liable for the oily mess in the Gulf of Mexico because he and his fellow Republican Senators do not want to traumatize BIG OIL AND WALL STREET! JUST THINK...BIG OIL MIGHT HAVE TO BE REGULATED AND ACTUALLY PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKES....BUT NOOOOOOO!....BIG OIL HAS THEIR POLITICAL PROSTITUTES WHO PREFER THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER PICK UP THE BILL.

But wait, I don't want to forget Senator Vitter from Louisiana who doesn't want to rush into regulating drilling in the Gulf even though it's a disaster for the working people along the coast. FUNNY ISN'T IT...THE SENATOR WHO PURCHASED THE SERVICES OF A PROSTITUTE IS A BIG OIL PROSTITUTE!
And, the whiney "drill baby drill" Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal who now wants to place the blame elsewhere. Why doesn't he just ask the oil expert from Alaska and Tea Party Favorite....Sarah Palin....how to plug the Republican Oil Company leak.
But don't worry. The American Public will vote for even more conservative right wing candidates in November. And Why? Because it is always easy to blame the other guy when your at fault, especially if the other guy doesn't stand for anything and tries to placate you.
It's like the criminal who goes to prison and finds God until the opportunity arises to do it again.
OH YEAH...LET'S PUT THOSE CORPORATE GOD FEARING REPUBLICANS BACK IN CHARGE OF CONGRESS.
