Panty hose and Politicians are very much alike.......they make things look good until it's time to undress.
The Promises, Rhetoric & Insults of a political campaign are about to reach the Finale...And the Winner Is?.....................We'll know, hopefully, 11/05/08.
If the Polls are right, which usually don't take into consideration all the backroom manipulation of the system, than Barack Obama will become President and the Democrats will have a solid majority in the House and Senate.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? WHO THE HELL KNOWS?
All we can do is wait and see if Obama is a man of his word and truly does try to do something for the middle income and hard working public. He will definitely have his work cut out for him trying to undo eight years of harm done to the our country and it's image around the world.
What concerns me is the Congress. It doesn't matter whether the Democrats or Republicans are in the majority, at some point big money lobbyists seem to gain influence over legislation instead of concern for the every day working stiffs. Will things change.....maybe for awhile.......but money talks. Look at the $700 Billion Dollar Bailout.......the money was suppose to be spent one way and that is how it was sold to a trusting(?)congress......but is now being used differently. We wouldn't want those CEOs and Executives not to get their year end bonus for the great work they've done.
What I truly look forward to in the coming years is the constant whining and crying of Neocon Republicans and the Fox News screechers about the end of world coming sooner since the Anti-Christ and his dominions have gained power.
Maybe after suffering tremendous losses in Congress, Republicans will put a more moderate person in charge of the RNC and decide to return to their roots and try to represent all Americans, not just the rich and powerful.........and the fringe on the far right.
Remember, during the Revolutionary War conservatives backed King George. Hmmm...not to much has changed
