CONGRESS LOVES GREED
December 29th 2011 03:36
Members of Congress love greed, especially corporations that feed their pig troughs. The more you feed them, the fatter they grow and the more pork for the elite 1%.
The median income for Congressional members is $795,000.00. Many members are millionaires and all have increased their wealth as members of congress.
As hard working Americans income decreases, Congressional members income increase. It's not a mystery, just look at their political donors list and you will know who owns your favorite politician and why they vote the way they do.
It is said that Paul Singer owns the Republican Party and rents the Democratic Party. Paul Singer is the CEO and founder of hedge fund Elliot Management Corporation. Elliot's principle investment strategy is buying distressed debt cheaply and selling it for a profit or suing for full payment. One of his most recent endeavors is buying $32 million loan debt for $2 million loan debt by Congo-Brazzaville and will collect a large settlement thru the British Courts.
Who does this hurt? The starving, homeless and sick ridden population who truly need services.
Paul Singer isn't alone. It's just business.
The elite 1% understand business and that it is good business to buy politicians in order to continue accumulating wealth. And the easiest way to do that is by taking it from the middle class, lower income, elderly and poor.
So-called conservative Republicans will always say that if you raise taxes on higher income earners you hurt the job creators. Funny thing. They haven't been creating any jobs, just sitting on the money ripped off of the hard working American Public.
Instead, they prefer to attack anything that benefits the 99% of the population.
Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Healthcare, Education, Children's Nutrition, Veterans and anything that would hurt the 1%.
Unfortunately it will continue and probably become even worse after the next election if the Republicans gain the Senate and White House, which is a strong possibility since the paid for majority of the U.S. Supreme Court made it possible for big money to spend unlimited funds to elect their favorite politician.
We can also blame ourselves, the American Public, for electing so-called conservatives who only want to strip Americans of their Rights by passing laws that restrict our right to vote in order to gain complete power for the Elite 1%.
